Colors...true colors

This picture is really cliche, but I like the way it turned out. It really emphasizes my theme of depression.

This picture I am most proud of. I was a little nervous to play with the paintbrush to create better clouds, but it turned out pretty good, in my opinion. The theme was overcoming fear. :) 2 thumbs up *2 pats on the back*

I really liked this picture when I first took it, and now it looks even more amazing. I think that I was able to follow through with my original plan, and it looks awesome. :) 2 thumbs up. *pat on the back* My main theme for this picture was anger and/or stress.

I also really like this picture. It's a little cliche, because I wanted to focus on death in this picture, and it's a dead tree, but it looked kind of crappy compared to now, now that I've worked on it in Photoshop. *another pat on the back*

Easy blur

I think that just applying the blur to the original picture (top) really helped enhance the colors in the picture.

Blur/ Overlay

I really liked the original picture (below), but when I editted it, it looked even cooler.

Neon Glow

I reallly like this one because it creates that irrealistic feel, which is what I originally tried to capture with the red natural lighting of the photo (bottom). Using that, I created the neon glow with the red color.

Filter Background

This is a photo of my friend with her converse. The coloring was really dull, so I filtered the background and emphasized the black with an artistic tool.

Music Montage

I really don't like how the overall montage turned out. I Should have smoothed the edges of the people, so it looks like one image. It just look likes a crappy collage. I like the background, but that also is a little too blury, so I could have enhanced the colors a bit. Overall, I think that I could have done a lot better job. My favorite picture of all these is the singer in the middle because its the only real picture that I got of the girl (my little sister) smiling. She's just having a great time, which is what real singers and musical people are attempting to do in their career: have fun!

The reason I did this type of montage is because music is such a huge influence on me, and I wanted to do something that would show who I really am. I distorted the colors to show that it may seem innatural, but at the core of it, it's what's real to some people. The diferent people is just different pictures of the same girl, and it's because there's so many possibilities with just one perspective. Like I said about the singer, she's smiling, and looks like she's genuinely having fun, which is what singers and music groups are doing: having fun. Even though it turned out like crap, I think it still portrays the message I wanted it to.

Light to Dark House

This picture that I took was taken after school in daylight, down by Oconomowoc Lake. The house was on top of a hill in a snowy scene, so I put the setting on for a bright snowy scene, it being light out and a snowy scene. Then I did the rest in Photoshop, changing the curges and hues and brightness.I added the fog on the bottom of the picture and the stars at the top by using the paintbrush. The stars were created by the shape of the paintbrush, and I just had the paintbrush set on normal for the fog, just at a very light grey. I also used the blur tool to soften the fog and intensity of the darkness.

iPod ad

In this iPod ad, I took a picture of my sister doing the warrior position in yoga. The lighting was normal, and my camera settings were just normal, with nothing special. I went into photoshop and used the quick selection tool, then the quick mask tool to select just her. Then I filled the selection with black with the paintbrush tool. Then I opened a black background, and filled it with the fuschia-like color, then dragged the filled in person to the background. I found a picture of an ipod touch on the internet, as well as the iPod apple. Then I found the font type for the "iErin" on the tutorial online. Then I created a text box and changed the font to the correct font needed, and typed in "iErin."
